Southwestern University, Georgetown, TX                                                               2007-Present
         Part-Time Assistant Professor                                                                             
        ·         Promoted to Assistant Professor beginning fall of 2011.
        ·         Expanded responsibilities include teaching fundamentals of solfege/ear training.
       Voice Instructor
        ·         Teach weekly individual half-hour and one-hour voice lessons to an average of 15-25 undergraduate                         students of all voice types per semester, including both music performance and education majors and                         non-music majors.
        ·         Incorporate voice science, acoustic analysis, and vocal anatomy/physiology in pedagogical approach.
        ·         Instruct students in vocal technique, musicianship, languages and diction, stage deportment, and                                 interpretation of vocal literature.
        ·         Collaborate with applied voice faculty to teach weekly combined studio master class.  
        ·         Prepare undergraduate music majors for juries, barrier exams, and degree recitals. 
        ·         Musically prepare students for leading roles in opera and musical theater productions, as well solo                             concert performances.

Round Rock Independent School District, Round Rock, TX                         2004-2010
           Private Voice Instructor

        ·         Taught weekly individual and group half-hour voice lessons to students in grades 6-12.
         ·         Worked with adolescent male and female students to develop strategies for successful negotiation of                         vocal registration.
         ·         Developed an applied curriculum that included studies in vocal anatomy and acoustic analysis of the                             singing voice.
         ·          Integrated instruction in musicianship, language, diction and interpretation.
         ·         Assigned and prepared repertoire for UIL All-State Choral Competition and Texas State Solo and                                 Ensemble Contests (TSSEC).
         ·         Prepared and entered students in the Austin Wednesday Morning Music Club Scholarship Competition.
         ·         Organized and presented annual voice studio recital. 
         ·         Coached high school students auditioning for local music theater productions.

        ·         Maintained a private studio of adult students, mainly professionals in fields other than music, in the Duke                     University area.
        ·         Worked with students of diverse backgrounds and skill levels, choosing repertoire and technical                                 exercises tailored to their individual needs.

                    Founder, Executive Director
        ·         Create administrative and operational framework for fine arts 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
        ·         Develop mission statement, budget, bylaws, and all required documentation for federal tax exempt                             status.
        ·         Create and implement programming in response to feedback gathered from the fine arts community.
        ·         Collaborate with web designer to create, launch, and maintain website and online presence.
        ·         Spearhead development activities, including grant writing and donor relations.
        ·         Cultivate relationships with community organizations that offer pro bono legal and financial services.
        ·         Recruit and supervise team of three student interns working in marketing, artist/donor relations, and                         graphic design positions each semester.
